About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Respond to verbal and written medical inquiries from internal and external customers about post-launch products
- Author medical information letters, dossiers, documents, and presentations
- Disseminate current, accurate, fair-balanced scientific and medical information
- Support capture and reporting of adverse events and product complaints while maintaining compliance
- Develop and update data-driven responses to customer inquiries
- Communicate information promptly to internal and external customers
- Collaborate with Pharmacovigilance, Quality, Field Medical, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, and Commercial teams
- Proofread and edit medical content for grammatical accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Review medical and promotional content through the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory process in Veeva systems
- Perform medical accuracy reviews of promotional materials
- Ensure content complies with regulatory and company standards
- Track reviewer feedback and implement revisions
- Develop, organize, and maintain repositories of standard medical responses, FAQs, and reference materials
- Update resources based on new evidence, product updates, and regulatory guidance
- Provide approved medical content to Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams
- Monitor key publications and share concise scientific summaries
- Ensure communications comply with regulatory requirements and ethical standards
- Stay current on industry guidelines and best practices
- Provide off-hours support for urgent medical inquiries
- Represent Medical Affairs at scientific congresses through booth engagements
- Manage the RightFind copyright clearinghouse and EndNote publication library
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with an active pharmacy license or completion of a Residency or Fellowship in Medical Information
- Minimum 3-5 years of pharmaceutical industry/medical information experience
- Experience in abstracting databases (Embase and PubMed) for literature searches and full-text document retrieval
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver under tight timelines
- Awareness of regulations and guidelines related to Medical Information and Medical Affairs
- Strong writing and editing skills for medical response letters, scientific summaries, and HCP-facing content
- Familiarity with the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review process and standards for promotional and scientific materials
- Ability to partner across Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, and Commercial teams
- Strong influencing, facilitation, and presentation abilities
- Ability to serve as a medical information subject matter expert internally and externally
- Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
- Up to 15% domestic travel required
- Preferred: 1+ years of medical writing experience
- Preferred: Participation in accredited medical writing associations is a plus
- Preferred: Experience with IRMS or Veeva MI as a user and administrator, or technical proficiency to learn quickly
- Preferred: Experience with publication review
- Preferred: Clinical experience in pulmonary hypertension
