About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support all of DreamYard’s fundraising activities, focusing on development operations, individual giving and stewardship, grants administration, and events
  • Maintain accurate and complete donor, prospect, institutional, event, gift, and engagement records in Little Green Light
  • Process gifts and maintain contribution records with appropriate documentation, coding, and donor information
  • Conduct database audits and resolve duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent records
  • Identify data gaps and improve Development tracking and workflows
  • Prepare donor acknowledgements, tax receipts, and stewardship correspondence
  • Maintain donor stewardship and cultivation plans and track donor touchpoints
  • Support annual and special giving campaigns, including list preparation, segmentation, mailings, digital appeals, and response tracking
  • Conduct donor and prospect research and assist with identifying prospective supporters
  • Prepare meeting agendas, donor histories, prospect profiles, and briefing materials
  • Support donor cultivation and stewardship activities, including communications, visits, small gatherings, and special events
  • Maintain grant records, agreements, budgets, reporting requirements, and supporting documentation
  • Track grant deliverables and reporting requirements and flag deadlines or information needs
  • Coordinate with Program, Finance, and other staff to gather information for proposals and reports
  • Assist with proposal and report preparation, submission, and funder research
  • Maintain current organizational documents and standard application materials
  • Support Development-related cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising events, including the annual gala
  • Manage event data, guest lists, invitations, RSVPs, donor information, sponsorship records, and post-event follow-up
  • Reconcile contributed revenue with the Director of Development and Finance team
  • Track restricted grants, pledges, payments, and other contributed revenue
  • Maintain documentation needed for audits and financial reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in nonprofit administration, development, fundraising operations, grants management, database administration, or a related field
  • Experience with a CRM required (Salesforce, Tessitura, Little Green Light, Raiser’s Edge, etc.)
  • Must know how to exercise discretion and discernment with regards to highly confidential information
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping and data integrity
  • Proficiency with Google suite
  • Proof of vaccinations required as a DreamYard COVID-19 health and safety protocol
