Venue Applications Support Analyst

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Input Point-of-Sale data, including menu items, prices, discounts, employee credentials, and venue layouts
- Maintain strict standards for system data integrity
- Diagnose software, hardware, and peripheral device malfunctions
- Author end-user guides to improve system understanding and usability
- Test new software versions frequently and thoroughly
- Document issue frequency and escalate systemic problems
- Establish processes to complete support tasks more accurately and efficiently
- Lead the on-call helpdesk hotline during peak support times
- Provide customer support to users with varying technical aptitude
- Travel to venues for software implementations and support
- Provide remote support for venue technology, primarily Point-of-Sale applications
- Support additional systems including CCTV, digital signage, and time and attendance
- Provide rotating on-call support, including outside conventional business hours
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 1-year experience supporting PoS systems, preferably Appetize and/or Micros
- Exceptional attention to detail for identifying patterns and curating obscure system data
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
- Experience with food and beverage business operations, ideally multi-location enterprises
- Diligence in troubleshooting complex problems with little information to reach resolution
- Ability to reprioritize tasks rapidly without missing deadlines in an ever-changing business
- Ability to identify risk of missing deadlines and collaboratively exchange tasks with teammates
- Outstanding customer service etiquette through written and verbal communications
- Positive, driven attitude; focus on opportunity in difficulty—not difficulty in an opportunity
- Basic familiarity with accounting practices, including balancing finances and inventory
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, possibly more during peak season (March–October)
- Degree/certificate relevant to technology from an accredited university is helpful but not required
- Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer station or work desk
- Ability to stand and walk regularly throughout the day
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly
- Ability to crouch, kneel, bend, and reach frequently
- Ability to stand/walk for several hours during venue installations or support
- Ability to work in typical office environments and noisy, crowded, and sometimes outdoor venue conditions
- Ability to travel by plane, car, or mass transit as needed
