About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide pricing, quotes, and top-notch customer service for client and agent requests
  • Provide quotes to clients, agents, and sales representatives within standardized time frames
  • Assist freight operations and sales with rate requests
  • Update and maintain quote logs and reports
  • Maintain and update air and ocean freight carrier rates for the branch
  • Analyze carrier net rates to ensure the company receives the best rates
  • Keep client quotations updated and current in conjunction with Sales and Operations
  • Develop relationships with carriers, agents, and Livingston business partners
  • Inform customers of industry, news, and regulatory changes by telephone and/or email
  • Assist the Sales department with quote follow-up
  • Communicate with the IFTS Manager Freight as required
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures
  • Report to the Manager, IFTS Freight
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, other Livingston business partners, and agents

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 years of related experience
  • Required: Associates Degree or post-secondary education
  • Strong operational knowledge of international Air and Ocean transportation requirements, including dangerous goods regulations, carriers, and agent network
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop relationships with people at all levels inside and outside the company
  • Ability to work effectively with Operations, agents, and business partners in Canada and the US
  • Customer-focused problem-solving ability
  • Analytical ability
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with ability to multitask, handle a large volume of work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel
