About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to tools and resources that help the organization scale, including playbooks, technology, and trainings
  • Assist in setting monthly, quarterly, and annual targets and align field tactics with corporate OKRs
  • Analyze market data to prioritize expansion geographies and new service lines
  • Directly manage 8–10 Business Development Representatives
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and coach Business Development Representatives
  • Run weekly 1:1s, account plan reviews, and trainings
  • Foster a culture of ownership, excellence, accountability, and persistence
  • Demonstrate effective field work alongside the team
  • Cultivate relationships with specialist offices, health systems, payers, and pharma representatives/managers
  • Identify, engage, and close strategic partnerships with enterprise healthcare organizations, including health systems, IDNs, ACOs, and large group practices
  • Structure co-marketing and education programs to increase brand recognition and referral pull-through
  • Partner with Operations to ensure seamless handoff from referral to treatment
  • Relay market feedback and refine messaging with internal teams
  • Own CRM hygiene and reporting standards
  • Deliver referral-volume and revenue goals for the territory
  • Present performance insights and forecasts to executive leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • History of meeting or exceeding sales goals personally and by managing teams
  • 10+ years of business-development experience in healthcare; infusion, physician services, or specialty pharma experience is a plus
  • 5+ years as a proven people manager who has built and scaled referral hunter teams that beat quota
  • Competitive spirit and customer-focused attitude
  • Positive attitude and commitment to ongoing self-development
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to uncover pain points and identify opportunities
  • Proficiency using a CRM system and standard office software applications
  • Experience working directly with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight travel
  • Must be located near a major airport in Indiana or Ohio
