About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in managing all aspects of medical publications projects from inception to completion
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary project teams and interface with each company department
  • Meet client and management expectations
  • Establish strong relationships with faculty members and clients
  • Ensure programs remain on target and within agreed-upon parameters
  • Develop, maintain, monitor, and reconcile project budgets
  • Manage external suppliers
  • Keep programs on time and focused on primary objectives
  • Provide ongoing updates to internal team members and client contacts
  • Manage project resources
  • Maintain knowledge of client organizations, products, disease states, and publications
  • Contribute to new business development activities within the account team
  • Schedule and conduct start-up, interim, and final team meetings
  • Establish and maintain time and events schedules
  • Facilitate on-budget, on-time, on-strategy project performance
  • Own daily account work details for each project
  • Oversee and facilitate development of all project activities
  • Assist in training new account team members
  • Maintain company policies and adhere to Lockwood Group policies and standard operating procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Three to five years of relevant project management experience in a publications environment required
  • Ability to grasp and retain scientific information
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with publication management platforms, such as iEnvision/Datavision and PubStrat
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience successfully leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong financial management skills
  • Highly organized and adept at multitasking/prioritizing
  • Ability and willingness to motivate others
