About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee friendly, professional, and efficient hotel guest registration, check-in, check-out, and account settlement
  • Support Front Desk Agents and Management, especially during peak periods
  • Assist with guest requests and complaint resolution
  • Perform Front Desk, Reservations, and Star Service functions as operationally required
  • Print occupancy, arrivals, departures, backup, group no-show, in-house, and arrivals reports
  • Review specials reports and coordinate pre-blocking and special guest services
  • Block returning relocated guests and communicate special requests to Housekeeping
  • Coordinate amenity deliveries with Room Service
  • Monitor room changes, duplicate reservations, due-outs, express checkouts, no-shows, and pre-registered guests
  • Process applicable late check-out charges
  • Check out-of-order room status and monitor showroom availability
  • Review group resumes and verify billing procedures, VIPs, and special requests
  • Conduct daily line-ups and monitor arrivals to ensure room readiness
  • Clear departures with Housekeeping and ensure guest departure calls are completed
  • Report guest needs and problem resolutions accurately
  • Assist with remote and reserved registration and check-out for groups
  • Answer telephone calls, address complaints and requests, and log phone interactions
  • Monitor occupancy, room availability, room categories, bedding, and amenity availability to prevent overbooking and ensure accurate billing
  • Monitor Master accounts for check-in and extensions
  • Maintain Rooms Control and Back Office areas, equipment, and supplies
  • Execute emergency procedures and notify appropriate departments of significant issues
  • Attend hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Maintain Loews Hotels Star Service standards and comply with hotel policies, safety regulations, and procedures
  • Promote teamwork and provide polite, friendly, and helpful service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of one year of experience in hospitality or a relevant industry required
  • Previous experience with guest services preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • Ability to learn Property Management Systems required
  • Familiarity with Opera preferred
  • Familiarity with HOTSOS preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods while using hands, fingers, vision, and hearing to operate computer and phone systems
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent people skills
