About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide subject matter expertise on endpoint security technologies, including design, configuration, integration, and deployment of enterprise security software and infrastructure
  • Enhance and maintain endpoint security platforms and processes, including antivirus, antimalware, encryption, system hardening, EDR, MDM, web content management, DNS security, identity solutions, SIEM, and patch management
  • Perform threat analysis, monitor security events for breaches, and triage suspicious behavior
  • Support endpoint infrastructure health, performance, stabilization, and tuning
  • Research emerging technologies and contribute to enterprise technology evaluations and roadmap discussions with leadership and vendors
  • Evaluate endpoint security solutions and design strategies to improve protection against emerging threats
  • Assess security technologies and identify opportunities for improved endpoint protection controls
  • Ensure security solutions, policies, and procedures address threats; recommend technical support processes, metrics, and SLAs
  • Maintain and enforce endpoint security policies and standards aligned with governance, risk, audit policies, regulations, best practices, ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS
  • Create and deliver endpoint security and compliance reports
  • Support and document implementation of approved endpoint security software and infrastructure
  • Oversee projects from inception to closure according to business requirements and stakeholder standards
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, security-risk, and audit policies and best practices
  • Mentor junior staff and serve as an escalation and engagement point of contact
  • Develop technical documentation, policies, and procedures; communicate technical standards to IT teams and junior staff
  • Maintain regular attendance, attend mandatory training and meetings, and work varying schedules as needed
  • Manage multiple projects to timely completion
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 Year college/university degree or technical degree required or applicable industry certifications and relevant experience required
  • CISSP preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security in an enterprise environment
  • 2+ years of experience as a technical project lead and primary support role
  • Extensive hands-on experience with endpoint security technologies and solutions, including Privileged Access Management, Endpoint Privilege Management, threat hunting and remediation, exploit mitigation, vulnerability assessment/management/monitoring tools, anti-virus/malware telemetry, Windows/Mac/Linux operating systems, SIEM security-event triage, identity and cybersecurity tools, audits and compliance, incident response, mobile device management, cloud security, investigations, IP/DHCP/DNS, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Web Content Management, Patch Management, and RMM
  • Strong knowledge of host and network-based attack methodologies
  • Solid understanding of governance frameworks such as ITIL and NIST
  • Expertise in endpoint security best practices
  • Knowledge of network and firewall infrastructure
  • Must be able to safely lift and carry computer equipment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Must be willing to travel domestically or abroad up to 20% of the time
  • Preferred: knowledge of Ivanti, Sentinel One, Palo Alto Networks, Sophos, Cisco Umbrella, and Idira/CyberArk
  • Preferred: experience in retail, travel, restaurants, or hospitality
  • Preferred: experience with PCI and SOX compliance
  • Preferred: Microsoft Security Certifications
