About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a team of multiple Project Managers responsible for successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary client IT engagements
Govern the project portfolio and ensure projects follow approved Statements of Work (SOWs) and PMO delivery methodology
Assist Sales and Professional Services teams with scoping, planning, management, stakeholder communications, and delivery of technology solutions on time and within budget
Serve as Project Manager for select projects and provide backup coverage for team members who are out of office
Lead project management team activities, internal and external communications, financial management, and customer service
Implement and maintain a uniform approach to project and program portfolio management
Provide leadership, coordination, mentoring, coaching, and training support to Project Managers, Associate Project Managers, and Project Coordinators
Develop tactical plans and strategic activities across assigned engagements
Direct project planning, execution, controlling, and closing in accordance with Logicalis Project Management Methodology
Oversee third-party vendor performance and accountability
Manage operations, scope, change, finances, schedules, risks/issues, communications, and quality across the project portfolio
Monitor project budgets, variance, profitability targets, master plans, schedules, deliverables, and customer satisfaction
Manage client relationships and expectations and communicate project status, progress, issues, risks, and financials to stakeholders, the PMO Director, and customers
Improve project management processes and procedures with the Director of PMO and peer teams
Report to the Director of Project Management
Supervise a team of 5–10 project management professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technologies, Business/Project Management, or a related field
Equivalent combination accepted
Ten or more years of enterprise-level IT Infrastructure Project/Program Management experience
Experience concurrently managing multiple Information Technology projects for multiple external customers
Experience managing teams of 1 to 10 resources within a Professional Services environment
IT infrastructure project management experience in a Professional Services or Consulting enterprise
Experience with Low-Voltage Cabling/AV/Security deployments, Wireless, Network, Unified Communications, and/or Data Center technologies
Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project
Experience working within Project, Project Portfolio, or Workforce Management systems
Knowledge of the construction industry and experience working with General Contractors and other trades
Working knowledge of construction drawings for new builds and tenant improvements (TI)
Project Management Professional (PMP) strongly preferred
Ability to manage ambiguous situations and multiple requests
Outstanding technical/business communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with front-line workers and C-level project sponsors
Must be able to sit, talk, see, hear, and use hands and arms constantly; stand, move about, climb steps, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently; and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds
Must wear construction hard-hat, safety eyewear, and steel-toed footwear when visiting construction sites
