About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, configure, and deploy scalable LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-network architectures tailored to client needs
Support, monitor, and optimize diverse client networks across Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba, Palo Alto, and other vendor ecosystems
Act as a Tier 2/3 technical escalation point for complex network outages, routing issues, performance bottlenecks, and security events
Use RMM, PSA, and network documentation tools to maintain visibility, track SLAs, and automate routine operational tasks
Conduct network discovery assessments for prospective and new MSP clients
Document existing topologies, identify security and operational risks, and create remediation roadmaps
Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical client stakeholders
Interface with ISPs and hardware vendors to resolve service issues and manage RMA processes
Implement and enforce network security best practices, including firewall policies, IPsec/SSL VPNs, micro-segmentation, ZTNA, and compliance standards
Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and Logicalis policies
Support and conduct oneself consistently with customer service expectations
Serve as a technical escalation point and drive network architecture projects while ensuring high availability and security

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
4+ years of hands-on experience in a Network Engineer role
At least 2+ years working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or multi-client consulting environment
Deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VXLAN, LACP, IPv4/IPv6, and QoS
Proficiency with enterprise network hardware across Cisco/Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto, HPE Aruba, and Ubiquiti platforms
Advanced hands-on experience with NGFWs, site-to-site IPsec VPN tunnels, remote-access VPNs, and NAC
Experience using ConnectWise, Autotask, Auvik, Datto, LogicMonitor, IT Glue, or Hudu
Active industry certification such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE 4+, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, or Aruba Certified Switching Professional
Hands-on experience configuring AWS VPC, Azure Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, or Direct Connect
Experience deploying and supporting Fortinet SD-WAN, Cisco SD-WAN, Versa, or Velocloud
Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ansible
Ability to prioritize tasks across competing client emergencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including sitting, standing, moving, climbing steps, and occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds
