About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Interact daily with all levels of the customer’s workforce, from C-level to business and technical end-users
  • Efficiently close tickets with a high level of accuracy
  • Perform technical computing and information systems support, including installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on desktops, laptops, servers, networking devices, and related software
  • Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using established procedures
  • Provide customer service and adhere to company values, best practices, and operational procedures
  • Manage open tickets/projects and complete technical and operational tasks for project deliverables
  • Maintain up to 85% utilization and drive continuous CSAT performance
  • Act as an escalation point for Managed Services Engineer I’s
  • Troubleshoot information systems, network devices, workstation connectivity, and printer issues
  • Create and terminate Active Directory user accounts, and reset passwords for onboarding/offboarding
  • Configure software and implement O365 administration functions across multiple platforms
  • Perform network troubleshooting, network traffic analysis, and debugging
  • Manage Anti-Spam Policies and run virus scans using approved software
  • Work tickets according to SLA priority and expiration, updating tickets daily
  • Support email, storage, backups, monitoring, and productivity suite solutions
  • Accurately record time and customer work status in ConnectWise with detailed notes
  • Partner with internal service owners and teams to evaluate, recommend, plan, and execute technical solutions
  • Participate in a regular after-hours on-call rotation
  • Provide continuous ticket updates and daily customer communication

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Approximately 50% travel for onsite client visits in the Danbury, CT area and locations up to 1.5 hours outside Danbury, CT
  • College Degree not required
  • 2-4 years of experience in a closely related position doing MSP technical support/troubleshooting preferred but not required
  • Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MSFT 365 Fundamentals (MS-900T01), MS 100, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), MS AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Windows Server, ConnectWise, and Remote Desktop Services preferred
  • Experience in LAN/WAN and basic network troubleshooting
  • Experience in workstation and laptop hardware support, including backup software configuration with common data protection applications
  • Experience with Anti-Virus configuration with more than one A/V solution
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, Azure, Windows desktop and server operating systems; Kaseya is a plus
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, written, listening, problem-solving, planning, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Business acumen and ability to translate business requirements into related solutions
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations, build trusted relationships, and communicate effectively with customers and management
