About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including income and expenditure statements, balance sheets, supporting commentary, accrual entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce monthly reports for budget holders and senior management
- Support preparation of annual budgets, including consolidation of directorate submissions
- Maintain and update forecasts throughout the year
- Act as a key contact for budget holders, providing financial information and guidance
- Maintain strong financial controls and adherence to procedures
- Support procurement processes and accurate transaction recording
- Assist in preparing statutory accounts, supporting schedules, working papers, and selected disclosures
- Improve financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis processes
- Assist with system improvements and reporting enhancements
- Provide training and guidance to budget holders
- Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and analysis
- Support wider finance team priorities
- Deliver financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis to support decision-making across London & Partners
- Support the Commercial Finance Business Partner with financial insight and business planning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting
- Experience working in a medium or large organisation
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with finance systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail with a pragmatic approach to delivery
- Proactive and organised
- Pragmatic and efficient in approach
- Collaborative team player
