About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Provide accurate information regarding products and services and assist customers with their needs
- Document customer interactions and maintain detailed records of conversations and resolutions
- Resolve customer complaints and issues by identifying root causes and providing appropriate solutions
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Schedule patient appointments
- Obtain and enter accurate demographic information into the EMR
- Identify client needs, clarify information, research issues, and provide solutions
- Identify and re-verify appropriate insurance as needed
- Schedule appointments correctly and document appointment reasons
- Review appointment details with callers
- Update patient registration and demographic information with insurance and copay details
- Make reminder phone calls as requested
- Reschedule appointments when necessary
- Process new patient registration, HIPAA, privacy notice, and demographic forms
- Communicate Sliding Scale policy and request documentation
- Perform other duties assigned by the Patient Services Management team
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a call center environment
- Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field (preferred)
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software (preferred)
- Bilingual abilities in English and another language (preferred)
