About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with transmission prospecting by analyzing grid maps, system data, and available capacity
  • Use TARA, PSSE, Google Earth, and Landgate to evaluate potential project locations
  • Compile and organize transmission and land data to support development decisions
  • Research transmission planning studies, queue positions, and system upgrades
  • Prepare summaries, maps, and visuals to communicate findings to the development team
  • Participate in team meetings and present progress on assigned tasks
  • Document methodologies and results to ensure knowledge transfer and repeatability
  • Participate in a 10–12-week summer internship program with onboarding, structured work experience, mentoring, and exposure to department-specific and company-wide activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate student at a 4-year college
  • Preferred major of Electrical Engineering
  • Coursework in power systems, such as power system analysis, electrical machines, power electronics, renewable energy systems, and energy markets & policy
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Interest in the renewable energy industry
  • Curiosity
  • Self-starter
  • Strong written and organizational skills
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States
  • The Company does not sponsor applicants for work visas
  • Cover letter highly preferred
