About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and rapidly build end-to-end features from scratch for Loopio’s platform
Design and ship reusable frameworks and shared libraries
Build technology to prevent bugs and improve software quality
Interact with customers and gather detailed feedback
Partner with the ML team to design, integrate, and productionise AI agents and knowledge-graph capabilities
Contribute to Loopio’s AI roadmap by evaluating third-party models and establishing patterns for agentic workflows and knowledge-graph-grounded retrieval
Define technical and evaluation guidelines for AI-powered features
Mentor and coach engineers through technical guidance, design, and code reviews
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects
Develop and maintain automated tests for high-quality, consistent releases
Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and global teams across Canada, the UK, and India

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of professional software development experience
Proven track record designing and delivering complex software systems at scale
Strong backend/API development experience in Python, Java, or PHP
Strong understanding of database design and RDBMS such as MySQL or similar
Proficiency using and designing scalable RESTful APIs
Experience mentoring engineers through coaching, design, and code reviews
Exposure to AI technologies, including agents, LLMs, embeddings, or natural language processing
Comfortable integrating or working with modern AI APIs
Ability to guide technical design discussions and facilitate technical decision-making
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party systems
Frontend development experience with React and JavaScript
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, ECS/Fargate, and Lambda
Typescript, Cypress, Elasticsearch, semantic search, RAG, and third-party app integration are a plus
Must be legally authorized to work in India without employer sponsorship
Expected to work from 11 am to 7:30 pm IST
