About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design and end-to-end delivery of complex features for Loopio's web platform, from architecture through production
  • Design and ship reusable frameworks and shared libraries
  • Drive architectural decisions and system-level thinking across teams
  • Build tooling and safeguards to prevent bugs before they reach customers
  • Contribute to Loopio’s AI roadmap by evaluating third-party models and establishing patterns for agentic workflows and knowledge-graph-grounded retrieval
  • Define technical and evaluation guidelines for AI-powered features
  • Lead technical design discussions and facilitate decision-making and consensus
  • Partner with the ML team to design, integrate, and productionise AI agents and knowledge-graph capabilities
  • Engage directly with customers to gather feedback
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Designers in an agile environment
  • Mentor and coach engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and code reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proven track record designing and delivering complex software systems at scale
  • Experience leading architectural discussions, influencing cross-team technical decisions, and driving consensus in ambiguous situations
  • Strong backend/API experience in Python, Java, or PHP
  • Experience designing versioned, well-documented APIs consumed by multiple teams and services
  • Experience building for scale and reliability and integrating with third-party systems
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Frontend development experience with React and JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of database design and relational databases such as MySQL
  • Exposure to AI technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, or natural language processing
  • Familiarity with integrating modern AI APIs
  • Experience mentoring engineers through coaching, design reviews, and code reviews
  • Prior technical lead experience is an asset
  • Experience or interest in driving processes and improving software development productivity
  • Nice to have: TypeScript, microservices, event-driven architecture, search and retrieval systems, semantic search, RAG, graph databases, knowledge-graph modelling, agent frameworks, tool-calling patterns, and evaluating or monitoring LLM-based features
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India without employer sponsorship
