About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop new relationships with institutional investors, especially superannuation funds, consultants, wealth managers and platforms, and family offices
- Identify qualified prospects and develop unique marketing strategies for each prospect
- Build close personal relationships with top prospects through one-on-one meetings
- Collaborate with Portfolio Management and Research teams to present relevant strategies
- Manage information flow between the Firm and prospects
- Present the Firm’s quantitative investment approach professionally
- Review and help write RFP responses tailored to each prospect
- Conduct 12–15 high-quality meetings per month
- Contribute to the annual revenue target by closing at least two new relationships each year
- Cover Australia and New Zealand
- Report to the Head of Relationship Management and collaborate with senior management and the investment team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate or advanced degree
- 12+ years of professional sales experience
- Comfort with quantitative methods
- Demonstrated ability to close institutional equity management business
- Understanding of the needs of large institutional investors and how to convert them into equity mandates
- Ability to obtain meetings and develop deep relationships with qualified institutional investors
- Passion for the investment business and desire to build a book of business
- Ability to hold in-depth conversations with high-level investment professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creative networking skills
- Strong organizational, detail-orientation, self-motivation, and work ethic
- Excellent written communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to develop strong internal relationships across departments
- Mature, gracious, assertive, and respectful professional demeanor
