About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support monitoring and reporting of product performance, usage, service effectiveness and operational outcomes
  • Analyse product data and trends to identify risks, opportunities and improvement areas
  • Produce product performance reports, dashboards and management information
  • Collect and interpret customer, stakeholder and operational feedback
  • Contribute to evidence-based recommendations improving product outcomes and user experience
  • Work with internal technology teams and third-party suppliers during discovery, development, testing and implementation
  • Support User Acceptance Testing by preparing test scenarios, executing test scripts and recording results
  • Identify defects, issues and product enhancement opportunities and support their resolution
  • Provide second-line operational support for product alerts, exceptions and service issues
  • Investigate and triage operational incidents, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Support product administration, controls, governance, data validation, reconciliation and quality assurance
  • Build relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers
  • Participate in workshops, reviews and product discussions
  • Communicate insights, findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Create and maintain product documentation, guidance and operational procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve product performance, operational effectiveness and user experience
  • Participate in lessons-learned and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop knowledge of product management, user-centred design and operational delivery best practice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in an operational, administrative, analytical or customer-focused environment, or equivalent relevant academic achievement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Experience collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives
  • Ability to interpret data, trends and operational performance information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organise workload and manage competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, products and business domains
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to improving products and services
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of product management concepts and practices (desirable)
  • Experience in an operational, customer service, project or business environment (desirable)
  • Familiarity with product reporting, data analysis or performance monitoring (desirable)
  • Awareness of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies (desirable)

  • Degree-level qualification in a humanities, business or economics-related subject (desirable)
  • Experience supporting product delivery, product operations or technology-enabled initiatives (desirable)
  • Foundation-level Product Management qualification (desirable)
