About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the business with the definition and implementation of change initiatives through project management guidance, including scoping, goal setting, timeline and resource planning, risk and issue management, budgeting and dependency management
- Provide project management expertise across the business using methodology and tools driven centrally by the Change team
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build change impact into planning and design, and feed change outcomes into the Operating Model and Process Architecture for knowledge management
- Work with the business development team to turn impact assessments into business cases and programme initiation documents for new net zero schemes
- Ensure key initiatives are captured and prioritised within the LCCC Change Portfolio
- Maintain current views of interdependencies, project plans, risks and issues across key initiatives, reporting to the Change Committee
- Promote continuous improvement and support senior leaders in acting on opportunities across the business, including lessons learned from change projects
- Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Support delivery of Net Zero schemes, including Carbon Capture & Storage, Low Carbon Hydrogen, Nuclear Regulated Asset Base, Contracts for Difference scheme changes, and Capacity Market improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects within a structured project management framework, delivering complex change initiatives
- Experience using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and choosing the appropriate application depending on context
- Able to use Jira, Excel and project management software to a high standard
- Analytically minded with superb problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and proactive approach to work
- Ability to work with ambiguity and manage a diverse workload with competing deadlines
- Able to establish and maintain strong professional relationships across a broad range of internal and external parties
- Prince 2, APM, Agile PM, or other relevant accreditation desirable
- Experience in technology, the energy sector and/or government environments desirable
- Experience managing technical projects in agile environments desirable
