About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and review customer quotes and contact customers to close and/or tender sales
Provide exceptional consultative services and confirm customer needs are met
Provide SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures, and programs
Work within system-based queues to identify activities ready for review
Use internal selling and project management systems to obtain and verify service request information and communicate with quoting-process participants
Respond to Stores and Service Providers regarding quote details and escalate issues when appropriate via phone, email, and other communication applications
Add product, promotional information, labor items, and associated charges to quotes when available
Refigure quotes when customers change project scope, measurements, or requirements
Organize workflows while collaborating with Service Providers, Stores, and peers
Provide timely information and feedback to peers, leadership, and supervisors
Identify process and customer-experience improvements for the centralized selling model
Communicate competitive offerings and Lowe’s product and service advantages
Answer customer and employee questions and provide stock, special-order, feature, application, and warranty information
Follow up with customers to ensure order and project requirements are met
Serve as a point of contact for department designs and installs
Monitor product and special-order status and communicate updates or issues
Enter, process, and track customer orders and installations through completion
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
Up to 1 year of experience in a call center, office administrative, high volume retail, service support, or similar work environment
If required by the state or local municipality, salesperson license or passing the requisite licensing exam within 60 days of starting employment
Foundational knowledge of flooring products, installation, phone/computer systems, and common customer service practices
Ability to learn and utilize new systems and tools with training
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Preferred: Experience in remodeling or construction industry
Preferred: Lowe’s store experience
Preferred: Installed flooring sales experience
Preferred: Experience using MS Dynamics or similar CRM tool
Lowe’s hourly remote associates cannot reside in Alaska, California, or Hawaii
