About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver SMART customer service and adhere to Lowe’s service standards
  • Conduct in-home consultations to uncover customer needs and recommend home improvement products and services
  • Become a subject-matter expert on product offerings and serve as a trusted customer resource
  • Meet or exceed sales goals using closing skills and solution-based selling techniques
  • Build client relationships through listening, qualifying questions, and tailored recommendations
  • Follow up with undecided customers during promotional events and key selling periods
  • Engage with stores, associates, and regional partners
  • Drive new business opportunities and manage the sales pipeline
  • Provide updates to the Services Territory Sales Manager during regular check-ins
  • Communicate product features, benefits, lead times, warranties, and installation processes
  • Capture in-home measurements, confirm selections, and secure next steps and follow-ups
  • Coordinate samples, materials, and customer information for appointments
  • Confirm appointments 24 hours in advance and prepare tools and materials
  • Work with contractors, installers, and project teams to quote, sell, and produce accurate job files
  • Complete project documents, contracts, proposals, and pricing worksheets
  • Submit paperwork and project information to store teams for project execution
  • Maintain organized project folders, samples, and demonstration collateral
  • Follow safety protocols during in-home visits and in-store activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in in-home, direct-to-consumer, or consultative sales
  • Experience meeting or exceeding sales targets in a quota-driven environment
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly in face-to-face interactions
  • Ability to accurately measure and assess project needs in customer homes
  • Proficiency in using mobile devices, CRM systems, and digital tools for scheduling, quoting, and documentation
  • Physical ability to safely navigate customer homes, carry product samples, and stand for extended periods as needed
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain an active sales pipeline
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
  • If the state or local municipality requires a salesperson license for this position, you must either be licensed or pass the requisite licensing exam within sixty (60) days of starting employment
  • Obtain Florida Notary Commission within 60 days of starting the role, applicable only in Florida
