About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support LRQA’s Fisheries Team in delivering certification schemes, primarily MSC Fisheries and Marin Trust
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Input and maintain platforms used for audit planning and financial reporting
  • Support LRQA’s Quality Team and Fisheries Team in ensuring fisheries-scheme documentation, control manuals, and operating procedures are fit for purpose
  • Ensure documentation and procedures comply with accreditation-body and scheme-owner requirements
  • Contribute to internal and external audit and review processes as required
  • Report to the Fisheries Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong grasp of administrative programmes/software and database management
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently without supervision
  • Ability to prioritise, plan, and schedule work effectively
  • Analytical approach to work and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working with finance platforms
  • Interest in marine science/aquaculture
  • Experience administering company compliance requirements
  • Prior experience with accredited certification schemes and auditing, particularly Marine Stewardship Council or Marin Trust schemes
  • Second or subsequent languages other than English
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • IT literacy with experience of Microsoft Office
  • Flexible approach to working hours where required
  • Successful candidates may undergo pre-employment checks, including identity, right-to-work, employment history, education, and criminal-record verification where applicable
