About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research and develop content for new behavioral health provider training programs
  • Participate in training sessions
  • Assist with day-to-day training activities
  • Work directly with providers to support engagement and education initiatives
  • Shadow Provider Relations Representatives, Case Managers, and Contracting staff
  • Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects
  • Complete work assignments based on business needs and departmental priorities
  • Perform technical and/or non-technical business-related projects
  • Create and deliver presentations at the completion of the internship
  • Support the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission, values, and Corporate Code of Conduct
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect member privacy
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Psychology, Social Worker, Human Services, or similar degree program
  • High school diploma
  • Proof of continuous college enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Good academic standing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and staff at all levels
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, creative, and flexible approach to assigned tasks
  • Ability to work independently and on intra- and inter-departmental teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
  • Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation and use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three or more hours at a time
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed
  • Preferred but not required: experience with customer service, presenting/public speaking, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
