About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Corporate Tax Compliance team with tax compliance, tax accounting, general accounting, and process improvement activities
  • Gain exposure to federal and state tax, accounting, and financial reporting processes
  • Work alongside experienced tax and accounting professionals on projects supporting the organization's tax and accounting function and strategic objectives
  • Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects
  • Complete assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications
  • Perform technical and non-technical tasks across business-related projects
  • Create and deliver a presentation at the completion of the internship
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect member privacy
  • Adhere to the Corporate Code of Conduct and company mission and values
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Business & Management, Finance, Actuarial, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a similar program
  • High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Preferred but not required: completed at least one tax course
  • Preferred but not required: strong interest in corporate tax and tax accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Interest in leveraging technology and data analytics to solve business problems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work well in a team and establish good working relationships
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, creative, and flexible approach to assigned tasks
