About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in a 10-week paid summer internship program
  • Attend development workshops focused on key business concepts
  • Work on meaningful projects with mentorship from managers
  • Complete a primary Cyber Defense Services project tailored to interests
  • Shadow the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Cyber Threat Assessment teams
  • Observe and participate in defensive and offensive cybersecurity activities
  • Gain hands-on exposure to day-to-day operations, coordination, and management of cybersecurity teams
  • Support key strategic projects with a mentor
  • Complete assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and qualifications
  • Perform technical and non-technical business-related tasks
  • Create and deliver a presentation at the end of the internship
  • Protect member privacy and maintain confidentiality
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate or graduate student with proof of continuous full-time college enrollment
  • High school diploma
  • Good academic standing
  • Desired major in Computing Sciences & Information Technology, Information Security, Digital Forensics, or similar program
  • Preferred experience with Cybersecurity, Threat Hunting, Offensive Security, Vulnerability Management, Security Operations Center (SOC) Operations, and Security Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and staff at all company levels
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Teamwork and relationship-building skills
  • Organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, creative, and flexible approach to assigned tasks
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and on intra- and inter-departmental teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
