About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support advancing Cyber Risk Management through creativity and development of risk indicators, early warning indicators, and cyber maturity
  • Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects
  • Complete work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications
  • Perform technical and/or non-technical tasks across business-related projects
  • Create and deliver presentations at the completion of the internship
  • Demonstrate integrity and support the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission, values, Corporate Code of Conduct, and Lifetime Way values
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect member privacy according to company policies
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Desired majors/degree programs include Computing Sciences & Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Networking, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or similar programs
  • High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment
  • Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and staff at all company levels
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and changing environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team and establish good working relationships
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, creative, and flexible approach to assigned tasks
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and on intra- and inter-departmental teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
  • Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three or more hours at a time
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed
  • Preferred but not required: Excel skills, understanding of risk capabilities and scoring concepts, and ability to understand root causes and impacts of risks
