About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in a 10-week paid summer internship
- Attend development workshops focused on key business concepts
- Work on meaningful strategic projects with a mentor
- Support monthly, quarterly, and potentially board reporting
- Support metric reporting and development
- Support ECO reporting internally
- Complete assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications
- Perform technical and/or non-technical business-related tasks
- Create and deliver a presentation at the completion of the internship
- Support the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission, values, and Corporate Code of Conduct
- Maintain confidentiality and protect member privacy
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Perform other functions as assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate or graduate student in Computing Sciences & Information Technology, Information Governance, or a similar program
- Desired majors/degree programs include Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Networking, Cybersecurity, or similar
- Must be in good academic standing
- Preferred but not required experience with productivity tools such as Excel
- Preferred but not required coursework in information security
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and staff at all company levels
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and changing environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team and establish good working relationships
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
- Proactive, creative, and flexible approach to assigned tasks
- Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning
- Ability to work independently and on intra- and inter-departmental teams
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
- Ability to sit and/or stand at a workstation while viewing a computer and using keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three or more hours at a time
- Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed
