About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support enterprise data governance and AI governance initiatives
  • Assist with program operations, data analysis, reporting, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement
  • Improve visibility, accountability, and effectiveness across governance programs
  • Work alongside the governance team and a mentor on strategic projects
  • Complete assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and qualifications
  • Perform technical and non-technical business-related projects
  • Create and deliver a presentation at the completion of the internship
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect member privacy
  • Attend regularly and reliably
  • Perform other functions assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a full-time degree program
  • High School diploma
  • Proof of continuous college enrollment
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Desired majors include Business & Management, Computing Sciences & Information Technology, Mathematics & Data Science, or similar programs
  • Preferred experience with large data sets, data analysis and reporting, Microsoft Office, process improvement, Power BI, Tableau, data governance, data management, AI governance, metadata, data quality, data lineage, data catalogs, project management, and stakeholder coordination
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and staff at all levels
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and on departmental teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
  • Ability to work at a workstation using a computer and peripherals for three or more hours at a time
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training as needed
