About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in a paid 10-week summer internship program
  • Support deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of enterprise software and devices
  • Assist with creation, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of software packages using MSI, MSIX, EXE, and vendor-specific installers
  • Validate silent installation parameters and create installation and uninstall commands
  • Generate deployment logs and document package requirements
  • Troubleshoot application installation issues in enterprise environments
  • Create and manage MECM/SCCM device collections
  • Build and configure software applications
  • Distribute content to distribution points and monitor deployments
  • Assist with application lifecycle management
  • Participate in software deployment testing and validation
  • Assist with Microsoft operating system updates, third-party application patching, and Dell BIOS and driver deployments
  • Review vendor release notes and test updates in non-production environments
  • Monitor deployment compliance and analyze deployment results
  • Document remediation actions for failed installations
  • Learn and assist with Microsoft Intune application, configuration profile, compliance policy, and update deployments
  • Support co-management initiatives between MECM and Intune
  • Contribute to endpoint security, software deployment efficiency, patch compliance, and modern device management projects
  • Create and deliver a presentation at the end of the internship
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect member privacy
  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Computing Sciences & Information Technology or similar degree program
  • High School diploma
  • Proof of continuous college enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Preferred experience with Windows 11 administration or power user experience
  • Preferred experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Interest in endpoint management, systems administration, software deployment technologies, and automation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and changing environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, creative, and flexible approach to work
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and on intra- and inter-departmental teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
  • Ability to work at a workstation using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three or more hours at a time
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training as needed
