About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct primary research projects to improve the performance of the Health Plan and its affiliates
  • Develop and field simple surveys
  • Perform data analysis and reporting
  • Collaborate with team members to develop recommendations improving operational efficiencies and customer experience
  • Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects
  • Complete assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications
  • Perform technical and non-technical tasks across business-related projects
  • Create and deliver a presentation at the completion of the internship
  • Support the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission, values, Corporate Code of Conduct, and Lifetime Way values
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect member privacy
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Desired majors/degree programs include Public Health, Psychology, Business Analytics, Market Research, Business, Mathematics, Marketing, Statistics or similar programs
  • High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Preferred but not required: basic experience in survey design, data analysis, and report writing
  • Preferred but not required: experience with SPSS, SAS, R, Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, or Google Forms
  • Must be willing to take additional training in survey design and data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and staff at all company levels
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work well in a team and establish good working relationships
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, creative, and flexible approach to assigned tasks
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning
  • Able to work independently and on intra- and inter-departmental teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
  • Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three or more hours at a time
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training as needed
