About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support strategic initiatives across the Commercial Markets Sales and Account Service organization
- Gain exposure to health insurance, sales operations, account management, customer experience, and business analytics
- Collaborate with Sales, Account Service, Marketing, Training, and Leadership teams
- Meet with associates, managers, and business partners to identify challenges and improvement opportunities
- Evaluate sales resources, training materials, Teams channels, SharePoint sites, WebCRD content, and other tools
- Identify content gaps, duplication, and onboarding inefficiencies
- Develop standardized program overviews, educational resources, and quick-reference tools
- Create a centralized “Where to Go For...” guide
- Research best practices in sales enablement, knowledge management, and onboarding
- Explore Microsoft Copilot and AI tools to improve information access and productivity
- Present recommendations to Commercial Markets leadership at the conclusion of the internship
- Work with a mentor and support strategic projects
- Complete assignments based on business needs and departmental priorities
- Perform technical and non-technical business-related tasks
- Create and deliver presentations
- Maintain confidentiality and member privacy
- Attend work regularly and reliably
- Perform other functions assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma
- Proof of continuous college enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program
- Good academic standing
- Preferred majors/degree programs include Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, Psychology, Organizational Leadership or similar
- Preferred but not required interest or experience in healthcare, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, sales operations, customer experience, or business strategy
- Preferred but not required experience creating presentations, conducting research, analyzing survey results, or leading projects
- Preferred but not required familiarity with Power BI, Salesforce, Microsoft Copilot, or AI-enabled business tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and staff at all company levels
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and changing environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work well in a team and establish good working relationships
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
- Proactive, creative, and flexible approach to assigned tasks
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently and on intra- and inter-departmental teams
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
- Ability to work at a workstation using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three or more hours at a time
- Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training as needed
