About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in a 10-week paid summer internship
  • Develop code for test automation, including automated test cases and utilities
  • Manage test result artifacts
  • Create synthetic data using in-house tools
  • Participate in code reviews, requirements reviews, and documentation
  • Work with a mentor and support strategic projects
  • Complete assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and qualifications
  • Perform technical and non-technical business-related projects
  • Create and deliver a presentation at the end of the internship
  • Support the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission, values, and Code of Conduct
  • Maintain confidentiality and member privacy
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other functions assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate or graduate student continuously enrolled full-time
  • High School diploma
  • Good academic standing
  • Majoring in Computing Sciences & Information Technology, Mathematics & Data Science, or similar program
  • Preferred experience with object-oriented programming
  • Knowledge of Java, Python, VBScript, SQL, Agile Methodologies, and software testing preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, creative, and flexible approach to assigned tasks
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and on cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
  • Ability to sit and/or stand at a workstation using computer equipment for three or more hours at a time
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region as needed
