About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Salesforce platform
  • Configure Salesforce to support provider lifecycle management and provider network engagement
  • Manage users, profiles, roles, teams, objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validations, workflows, and approval processes
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, list views, automation solutions, documentation, and administrative processes
  • Monitor data quality and integrity; perform database maintenance, diagnostic testing, and duplicate cleansing
  • Work within Agile project methodology and framework
  • Create and execute unit test cases and manage project work plans
  • Research, analyze, and resolve Salesforce and aligned-system issues
  • Communicate with team members and business partners regarding configuration issues and enhancements
  • Manage the complete development cycle from requirements analysis through implementation
  • Provide Salesforce user support and train new end users
  • Interact with business units to translate needs into functional and technical requirements
  • Evaluate, install, and manage Salesforce updates, add-ons, and AppExchange tools
  • Recommend process improvements and identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce for additional business functions
  • Level II: provide business rules configuration input for development projects, interfaces, and extensions
  • Level II: develop tools and processes improving configuration build and maintenance efficiency
  • Level II: communicate recommendations and status to senior management
  • Level II: audit configuration changes before production migration
  • Level II: direct ongoing configuration changes and new requirements
  • Level II: develop strategies and translate them into action plans
  • Maintain member privacy and adhere to corporate policies, code of conduct, and organizational values

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum two (2) years related work experience required for all levels
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field; in lieu of a degree, six (6) years of related work experience required
  • Prior experience in a technical role supporting provider networks strongly preferred
  • Proven work experience as a Salesforce administrator
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201) required
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce CRM platforms
  • Experience setting up and managing user profiles, roles, and permission sets in Salesforce
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com best practices, support mechanisms, procedures, and limitations
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry
  • Knowledge of system development life cycle activities
  • Working knowledge of structured analysis and design, unit testing, and data gathering techniques
  • Strong process orientation and critical thinking skills
  • Level II: minimum five years of related work experience required
  • Level II: Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification preferred
  • Level II: advanced understanding of the health insurance industry, preferably in provider network
  • Level II: ability to design and configure controls supporting Salesforce
  • Level II: demonstrated ability to train and mentor
  • Level II: in-depth knowledge of system development life cycle activities
  • Level II: ability to manage large projects and work across multiple locations
  • Ability to work prolonged periods at a workstation and on a computer
  • Ability to use a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three or more hours at a time
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
