About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team of 10 to 15 formal verification engineers
- Own disciplinary leadership, development, feedback, and difficult conversations
- Manage project timelines, capacity planning, and scope decisions under pressure
- Own customer relationships from initial conversation through sign-off and beyond
- Run customer status and scope discussions and remain the contact between engagements
- Join early customer and new-business conversations to assess feasibility and scope
- Act as the technical counterpart for Sales with new clients
- Collaborate with senior engineers to build verification plans
- Apply the formal verification process consistently
- Run post-project reviews
- Hire for and develop the formal verification team
- Raise engineering standards and shape the company’s verification approach as it grows
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience owning a complete verification block end-to-end
- Formal verification on non-trivial RTL, such as caches, pipelined processors, DMAs, or NoCs
- Strong SystemVerilog Assertions
- Hands-on experience with JasperGold, VC Formal, Questa Formal, or OneSpin
- Knowledge of convergence techniques: abstraction, cutpoints, invariants, constraint hygiene, and non-vacuity
- Proven track record of leading engineers as a people manager or technical lead
- Customer-facing experience in scoping or early technical conversations before a project starts
- Record of building business and technical relationships with external parties
- Ability to assess customer asks, judge engineers’ plans, and evaluate skills
- Strong people-reading and communication abilities
- Ability to absorb and resolve problems rather than pass them on
