About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the team’s workload, calendar, and priorities across multiple brands
  • Provide technical expertise to maintain fit consistency and product quality
  • Identify where pattern blocks are needed and execute them
  • Mentor and develop the technical design team
  • Coach the team on fit evaluation, balance, and proportion
  • Deliver timely, direct, and actionable feedback
  • Manage workflow and evolving business needs, creating or adjusting action plans
  • Create, update, and use pattern blocks to ensure standards are met
  • Collaborate with Design and Product Development teams on fit and aesthetics
  • Maintain fit and construction standards for brand consistency and quality
  • Resolve and communicate fit and construction issues to International Buying Offices and factories
  • Communicate daily with IBOs, vendors, and cross-functional partners
  • Improve fit and quality through customer-comment reviews, competitive analysis, and fit symposiums
  • Oversee, coach, and assess direct reports’ performance and development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong knowledge of patterns, fit, grading, and construction standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence and assertiveness in fit presentation
  • Ability to self-manage, work independently, multitask, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Proactive problem-solving and resolution-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in Flex PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Web PDM, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to oversee product areas, support direct reports, manage workload, and meet deadlines
