About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take ownership of data quality within the business area, focusing on legal entities data and sales reporting
  • Define and maintain business glossaries, data definitions, and metadata standards
  • Monitor data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation actions
  • Support implementation of data governance policies, standards, and best practices
  • Ensure data is compliant, consistent, and fit for business and regulatory purposes
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new initiatives, process changes, and data improvements
  • Translate business needs into functional and data requirements for delivery teams
  • Design and document data-related solutions, including data mappings, transformation logic, and business rules
  • Maintain traceability of business and data requirements and identify dependencies and synergies
  • Analyze data trends, business performance, and operational results
  • Provide insights and recommendations for decision-making
  • Support creation of dashboards, KPIs, and sales reporting
  • Help business teams understand and use available data effectively
  • Act as key contact between business users, IT, Data Engineering, BI, and other stakeholders
  • Build relationships across functions to ensure successful delivery of initiatives
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions
  • Promote a data-driven culture
  • Share knowledge, coach colleagues, and support capability building within the team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Educational background in Economics, Business Management, Finance, IT, or a related field
  • Proven work experience as a Data Steward, Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst, IT System Analyst, or similar
  • At least 3 years’ professional experience in data governance and data management
  • At least 1 year of experience in banking or another finance industry
  • Good knowledge of bank products, processes, and IT systems
  • Very good SQL knowledge and ability to work with large data sets
  • Very good understanding of data warehousing and reporting concepts
  • Ability to apply data profiling techniques in practice
  • Very good understanding of IT database structures and principles
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and project management tools such as Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
  • Ability to bridge IT and business
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Initiative and a high level of responsibility
  • Good to advanced business knowledge with regulatory reporting experience across banking products, systems, processes, and financial data
  • Experience with DWH, Tableau/Power BI, cloud data warehouses such as Kafka, Iceberg, BIAN, Snowflake/Databricks, ETL, or data governance tools is an advantage
  • Data Management or Data Stewardship certification, such as DAMA, is an advantage
  • Fluent English in spoken and written communication is required
