About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation
- Manage and improve cloud networking, security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform and Terragrunt modules for multi-environment deployments
- Administer and optimize Linux-based environments, particularly RHEL
- Operate, support, and enhance monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions
- Create actionable dashboards and insights for proactive issue detection and resolution
- Support incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
- Improve platform stability, resilience, and service continuity
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and technology teams
- Champion DevOps best practices and foster operational excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in a senior DevOps, Platform Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar role supporting large-scale or business-critical systems
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, VPCs, public and private subnets, route tables, internet and NAT gateways, security groups, network ACLs, IAM, load balancing, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and secure connectivity
- Strong practical experience with Terraform and Terragrunt, including reusable modules, environment composition, dependency management, and consistent multi-environment deployments
- Experience with configuration management solutions; Chef preferred, with Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack also considered valuable
- Strong experience administering Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), with advanced automation and troubleshooting skills
- Experience operating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and supporting automated infrastructure and application deployments
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar technologies
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience designing and operating highly available, resilient, and disaster recovery-ready services
- Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Bash, or PowerShell
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to participate in the on-call rotation
- Fluent English required in spoken and written communication
- CV in English and PDF format
- Candidate primarily already located within the Baltics
- Experience with Chef, Ruby, Oracle databases, Oracle FLEXCUBE, AWS hybrid connectivity, Oracle database backup/recovery/performance management, banking or regulated industries, service management, operational management, and incident management would be considered advantages
