About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement, and oversee individualized infusion treatment plans
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, prescribe medications, interpret labs, and manage infusion therapies within scope of practice
- Provide direct patient care, infusion oversight, and clinical decision-making
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapies, safety, and treatment expectations
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Monitor medication and supply inventory
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and payer credentialing
- Collaborate with referring providers, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative partners
- Lead quality assurance, accreditation readiness, and process improvement initiatives
- Mentor, supervise, and provide clinical leadership to RNs, LPNs, and clinical support staff
- Support workflow optimization, staffing coordination, and multi-site clinical alignment
- Respond appropriately to patient concerns or medical emergencies within scope of practice
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active, unrestricted NP license in the state of practice
- DEA registration, state-controlled substance license, and NPI number
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong IV access skills and experience with biologic and specialty medication protocols
- Experience coordinating patient care, managing inventory, and maintaining regulatory compliance in an outpatient infusion setting
- Proficiency with EMR documentation and clinical workflow optimization
- Ability to comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and payer credentialing
- Ability to participate annually in required legal and ethical compliance training
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Physical ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
