About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the day-to-day relationship with Sephora, FSS and other Indonesian retail partners, from store level up to buyers and category managers
  • Agree annual and quarterly sell-out targets per account and door, and drive delivery against them
  • Negotiate and secure in-store visibility, including counter space, gondola ends, windows and promotional placements
  • Plan and run joint business reviews covering performance, launches, promotions and stock
  • Work with Supply Chain and retail accounts to maintain healthy stock levels, flag stock-outs and manage slow-moving inventory
  • Ensure retailer promotions, pricing and mechanics are executed correctly in every door
  • Deliver a consistent brand experience across Indonesia doors in line with SEA and global standards
  • Conduct store visits to audit visual merchandising, tester hygiene, counter cleanliness, product availability and service quality
  • Execute launches, campaigns, events and in-store animations on time and to brand standard
  • Lead masterclasses, makeovers, offsite trade events and pop-ups
  • Gather customer and staff feedback and share actionable insights with the Retail Manager SEA and HQ
  • Produce weekly and monthly retail reports by account and door
  • Track event, promotion, TOA and GWP performance and return
  • Analyse trends by door, category and hero product and recommend corrective actions
  • Present monthly performance reviews and forecasts to the Retail Manager SEA and local leadership team
  • Plan TOA and GWP calendars, forecast quantities, place orders, allocate stock and track redemption and inventory
  • Design, cost and run incentive and commission plans for Beauty Advisors and Counter Managers
  • Set targets, calculate and verify monthly payouts, run contests and review plans quarterly
  • Lead and manage full-time and part-time retail teams across all Indonesia doors
  • Recruit, onboard and retain Beauty Advisors and Counter Managers with HR
  • Optimise rosters, manage performance, monitor attrition and engagement, and maintain team morale
  • Ensure team training in selling ceremony, product knowledge and artistry techniques
  • Coach selling, upselling and cross-selling on the floor
  • Partner with Education to deliver launch training, masterclasses and refresher sessions
  • Track training completion and connect skills development to sales and mystery shopper results
  • Manage distribution of samples, testers and point-of-sale materials
  • Align local processes with SEA standards
  • Partner with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Education, Supply Chain, Finance and HR
  • Manage the Indonesia retail budget for events, TOAs, GWPs, incentives and headcount

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6 or more years in beauty, luxury or premium retail in Indonesia, including at least 3 years managing multi-door retail teams
  • Proven experience managing key retail accounts such as Sephora, department stores or travel retail in Indonesia
  • Hands-on experience designing and running incentive and commission schemes
  • Track record of delivering sales targets and improving in-store standards
  • Experience in a distributor model, managing a brand on behalf of a brand principal, is an advantage
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills; confident with Excel and retail reporting tools
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with retail partners
  • Strong coaching ability, with a deep understanding of selling ceremonies and clienteling
  • Organised planner who can manage budgets, stock and multiple launches at once
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, written and spoken
  • Passionate about beauty, makeup and skincare, and about the customer experience
  • Energetic, hands-on leader who spends time on the shop floor
  • Builds a positive, motivated team culture
  • Comfortable in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment
  • Willing to work weekends, public holidays and evenings for key retail events
  • Degree in Business, Retail Management or a related field preferred
