About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and achieve retail/counter sales using knowledge of sales trends, trade stock holdings, and historical sales/targets
Track daily counter sales
Build and maintain relationships with retailers and customers
Work closely with the marketing team and execute floor-level activities to achieve wholesale and inventory objectives
Ensure merchandising standards at counters comply with brand guidelines
Set retail stock levels and control trade stock holdings for each counter
Check counter POS and MIM systems
Monitor stock levels and stock movement to ensure stock availability at each counter
Check and monitor physical quantities of GWPs, samples, and testers
Ensure BITAs are prepared and available on the selling floor on time
Monitor counter maintenance and image
Recruit and train retail staff, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring
Manage retail staff discipline and operations
Prepare and monitor retail staff work schedules
Encourage teamwork among retail staff to achieve brand goals
Participate in new product launches and related events
Prepare and monitor market, sales, sales commission, and incentive reports
Lead and motivate retail staff across multiple counters within Malaysia

Requirements

What you’ll need

Have a tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of relevant working experience that will allow the successful performance of job expectations
At least 3 to 5 years working experience in the retail industry
Prior experience in the beauty industry is an added advantage
Previous retail supervisory experience and/or experience managing retail staff
Proficient in MS Office Applications, especially MS Excel
Good written and verbal communication skills
Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
Display initiative with a pleasant disposition
Willing and ready to travel
