About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide individual DBT therapy to adult clients via live video
- Facilitate DBT skills groups via live video
- Assign DBT-relevant digital lessons, videos, and assessments
- Enhance client learning and monitor outcomes between sessions
- Deliver culturally responsive care to clients with varied backgrounds, needs, and abilities
- Attend weekly consultation team meetings
- Attend one-on-one consultation meetings with an expert DBT team lead
- Co-lead DBT skills groups with other DBT providers
- Attend robust training to enhance clinical skills
- Provide evidence-based care and support clients with complex needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Unrestricted, active New York or Massachusetts license, allowing independent practice without supervision and without current or pending disciplinary action
- New York LMFT/LCSW licenses must have diagnostic privilege
- Formal didactic training in DBT required
- Minimum one year of experience providing comprehensive DBT, including Stage 1 individual DBT therapy, skills groups using Linehan materials, consultation team participation, and skills coaching
- DBT-LBC certification preferred but not required
- Experience, comfort, and passion working with clients presenting high-risk behaviors, including suicidal ideation and/or self-injury
- Willingness to obtain cross-licensing in additional states as needed
- Experience providing telehealth therapy services preferred but not required
- Computer and live video tools literacy, such as Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, or Skype
