About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Process amendments of Commercial and/or Performance/Financial Standby Letters of Credit for customers in a timely and accurate manner
Provide cross-training assistance for less experienced staff and provide management feedback on cross-training progress
Participate as a member of letter of credit project teams as required
Identify fraudulently presented items using International Trade Finance policies, procedures and controls
Adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management
Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and applicable issues raised by external regulators
Complete other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Minimum of 3 years’ work experience
Strong customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
International Trade Operations experience (preferred)
Commercial lending experience (preferred)
Knowledge of pertinent Bank systems (preferred)
