About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support procurement, negotiation, and management of technology-related supplier agreements
- Partner with Technology, Legal, Third-Party Risk, Finance, and business stakeholders on supplier selection, vendor risk, and technology spend optimization
- Identify Executive Sponsors and cross-functional project teams for major IT sourcing initiatives
- Guide project teams through strategic sourcing processes and communicate progress, setbacks, and obstacles
- Lead kick-off meetings and develop and execute RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
- Analyze, evaluate, and score vendor proposals; coordinate supplier demonstrations, reference calls, and onsite visits
- Lead contract negotiations with project teams and Legal
- Guide business and support units through third-party risk management, vendor risk-tiering, vetting, and approval
- Research procurement trends and recommend savings opportunities
- Lead and support competitive sourcing events for technology products and services
- Develop sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation criteria, executive-ready recommendations, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and negotiation outcomes
- Negotiate software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, maintenance, telecommunications, and professional services agreements
- Coordinate contract reviews and identify contractual, operational, financial, and vendor-related risks
- Analyze software licensing, utilization, subscription, and cloud consumption data
- Optimize software entitlements and reduce unused licenses and unnecessary expenditures
- Establish supplier relationships and support vendor performance reviews and issue resolution
- Monitor contract expirations and renewal timelines
- Develop pricing analyses and track sourcing savings, cost avoidance, and procurement performance metrics
- Support technology vendor due diligence and legal review activities
- Maintain compliance with risk, regulatory, internal control, audit, and external regulator requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ proven financial and/or business experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ proven financial and/or business experience
- Proficiency with personal computers, pertinent mainframe systems and procurement, spreadsheet, presentation and database software
- Strong time management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience interacting with all levels of management
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience writing Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
- Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management and eSignature software tools
- Knowledge of major technology suppliers, software licensing models, cloud consumption pricing, maintenance structures, and subscription agreements
- Experience negotiating technology-related agreements, including enterprise software licenses, SaaS and cloud agreements, hardware and infrastructure purchases, telecommunications services, and technology consulting and professional services
- Strong contract review skills, including redlining IT commercial and legal terms across MSA, SOW, and Order forms
- Familiarity with procurement platforms, contract management systems, and spend analytics tools
