About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the MDLinx product vision and roadmap across physician-facing experiences and pharma engagement products
- Lead product, design, and engineering as one integrated team
- Develop ideas for pharma brands to reach and help physicians
- Build a culture of rapid experimentation, moving from ideas to working prototypes, testing with physicians and clients, learning, and redeploying
- Spend regular time with physicians and pharma clients to shape product development
- Run a forward-deployed engineering model with engineers working directly with internal business stakeholders and clients
- Lead application development and data engineering directly and through team leads
- Keep teams small, fast, and focused on outcomes
- Make AI-native development the default working method
- Ship AI capabilities including personalization, recommendation, and content intelligence
- Build a platform for launching, testing, and rolling back experiments without destabilizing core products
- Operate MDLinx product and technology autonomously within M3 USA engineering standards and technology plan
- Instrument experiences to generate signals about physician knowledge, attitudes, and behavior
- Own the MDLinx first-party data strategy for product and commercial needs
- Lead generative AI for content creation, summarization, curation, and medical literature analysis
- Build recommendation, real-time personalization, and predictive content affinity and engagement propensity models
- Own technical direction and architecture
- Architect infrastructure to capture, unify, and activate physician behavioral signals and unified physician profiles
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years in product and engineering
- 5+ years leading product, design, and engineering as one integrated team, with managers reporting to you
- Took a product from 0 to 1, from first idea through first paying customers, with specific, measurable results
- Built engagement products with proven retention, including interactive, community, or personalized experiences
- Set up and ran a forward-deployed engineering (FDE) model or comparable embedded model
- Architecture ownership for a high-traffic production platform with high availability requirements
- Experience with modern cloud and event-driven infrastructure; AWS preferred
- Teams build with AI coding agents as standard practice, with demonstrated effects on cycle time and output
- Shipped production LLM applications, recommendation systems, and real-time personalization
- First-party data experience including event instrumentation, identity resolution, unified profiles, and customer data platform activation, designed privacy-first
- Experimentation and measurement experience with A/B testing, feature flags, rollback infrastructure, and statistical judgment
- Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers, physicians, pharma clients, and executives
- Ability to operate with autonomy within M3 USA standards
