About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with the Government Sales team to identify opportunities
Develop innovative technology solutions for Federal and State Government customers
Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior government stakeholders
Translate complex business challenges into practical technology solutions
Develop strategic technology roadmaps and business cases
Design complex solutions and lead major bids
Help customers achieve their technology ambitions
Work closely with Sales, Product, Architecture and Engineering teams
Shape future service offerings
Strengthen strategic partnerships
Position Macquarie Government as a trusted technology partner
Influence strategic technology decisions across government organizations

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years' experience within the IT&T industry, ideally in a senior technical consulting or pre-sales capacity
Demonstrated experience working across Federal and/or State Government environments
Strong technical expertise across Cloud and Cyber Security, including complex solution design and implementation
Experience developing technical proposals, business cases, strategic technology roadmaps and Statements of Work
Exposure to major technology platforms and vendors such as Netskope, Splunk, Fortinet, VMware, AWS and/or Azure
Exceptional presentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at executive level
A relevant Engineering or Computer Science degree, or equivalent industry experience
Australian Citizenship and NV1 security clearance is required for this role
Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible to obtain a security clearance
