About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build application features for invoice generation and previews, credits and approvals, configurable templates, reconciliation, and financial analysis
Develop APIs and backend services in Go and Python on Google Cloud
Contribute to React and TypeScript frontend development
Work directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders, including finance leadership, to understand processes and identify solutions
Help shape and prioritize the application roadmap with the manager and Product
Carry features from discovery through implementation, release, and ongoing improvement
Contribute to financial analytics, decision-support capabilities, AI-powered predictive and prescriptive analytics, and finance workflow automation
Build and maintain integrations with the proprietary advertising platform, NetSuite, Salesforce, and BigQuery
Build permissions, validation, tests, error handling, and audit trails for accurate financial data and human oversight
Improve application usability, reliability, and business value based on user feedback
Ship production features and take increasing ownership of defined application features or financial workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need

0–4 years of professional experience; recent graduates with substantial project, internship, or hands-on building experience welcome
Comfortable programming in Go, Python, or a similar backend language
Working knowledge of SQL
Demonstrable engineering skills through professional work, internships, open-source contributions, or substantial projects
Accounting or finance knowledge strongly preferred
Careful approach to correctness, validation, edge-case testing, and investigating unexpected results
Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working through ambiguity
Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on engineering experience
NYC-based or willing to relocate
Experience with React and TypeScript, financial analytics, data modeling, data pipelines, NetSuite, Salesforce, ERP integrations, Google Cloud, LLMs, tool calling, predictive modeling, or AI-assisted workflows are nice to have
