About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Undertake routine maintenance, alignment and installation of all Airfield Ground Lighting in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and CAA/SRG codes of practice
  • Maintain High Mast Lighting, generators, LV systems and control systems
  • Document and record maintenance, alignment and installations as required by the Codes of Practice
  • Undertake routine maintenance and installation of other Airport Aeronautical Ground Lighting equipment as directed
  • Attend training courses as directed to achieve the competence required for Aeronautical Ground Lighting maintenance
  • Carry out planned maintenance schedules
  • Assist and co-operate in the efficient running of the Airfield Engineering stores
  • Ensure all work complies with current Electrical Regulations, Company Quality Management procedures and EMA Approved standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of an electrical installation or maintenance apprenticeship NVQ level 3 or sufficient experience in an electrical contracting
  • 18th Edition trained
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with electrical fault finding
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Desirable: Experience in HV, generator systems and regulators
  • Desirable: AGL course trained Module 1–3
  • Desirable: Authorised Person trained
