Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee maintenance of the operational vehicle fleet at East Midlands Airport, including snow-removing equipment, ambulifts, and cars

  • Plan and deliver maintenance, repairs, testing, and servicing safely and effectively
  • Assign work to appropriate team members
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are followed
  • Ensure parts are sourced on time
  • Support fleet sustainability and reliable airport operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant experience in fleet or vehicle maintenance
  • Must be able to travel to East Midlands Airport daily
  • Open to occasional overtime
  • NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance, or an equivalent qualification, is essential
  • Experience in a workshop environment
  • Experience in leading a team is essential
  • IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
  • Internal Quality Systems Auditing or equivalent
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence
  • Class 1 or 2 HGV Licence would be an advantage
  • Ability to remain flexible to overtime demands and available for on-call requirements
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Microsoft Office IT literacy
