About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own an assigned portfolio of existing customers and develop account strategies to increase recurring revenue, strengthen relationships, and support retention
- Meet or exceed individual sales quotas through renewals, cross-sell, upsell, license expansion, product adoption, transaction growth, and other expansion opportunities
- Identify whitespace and expansion opportunities by understanding customers' operations, challenges, growth plans, and technology needs
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate, timely revenue forecasts
- Conduct regular customer meetings, business reviews, product discussions, demonstrations, and onsite visits
- Build relationships with operational users, managers, economic buyers, and executive stakeholders
- Lead pricing discussions, contract negotiations, objection handling, and closing
- Monitor customer expectations, satisfaction, business needs, risks, and opportunities
- Serve as primary relationship owner and coordinate Support, Professional Services, Implementation, Product, Finance, and Accounting resources during escalations
- Set customer expectations regarding internal processes, service responsibilities, project scope, support interactions, and commercial commitments
- Advocate for customers internally while balancing company policies, contractual obligations, and commercial objectives
- Handle customer inquiries and work cross-functionally to solve complex business or operational challenges
- Maintain accurate account, activity, opportunity, forecast, renewal, and customer information in the CRM and other sales tools
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry conferences, and events
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years of B2B sales, account management, or customer expansion experience
- Demonstrated experience carrying and achieving an individual sales or revenue quota
- Proven ability to identify, develop, negotiate, and close cross-sell and upsell opportunities within an existing customer base
- Strong ability to effectively demonstrate software or product features and connect technical capabilities to business outcomes and customer needs
- Demonstrated knowledge of both import and export regulations
- Experience managing a sales pipeline, forecasting revenue, and maintaining accurate opportunity and account information within a CRM
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) preferred
- Experience within freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, transportation technology, customs brokerage, or customs compliance strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of customs brokerage and compliance processes, including ACE, ABI, ISF, AES, bonded operations, and FTZ
- SaaS or technology sales experience preferred
- Proficiency with CRM and sales productivity tools; Salesforce experience preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally to visit customers and attend conferences and events (35% travel)
- Must have a personal vehicle to visit customers
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
