Key responsibilities & impact

Define the cloud-native data enrichment service for the Artifacts Knowledge Team
Design architecture and deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions
Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Technical Leads, and Product Managers
Drive informed design decisions and champion engineering best practices
Lead modernization efforts and develop shared frameworks or design systems
Prototype ideas and prove out new patterns
Guide engineering teams toward improved patterns, tooling, and practices
Mentor and empower senior developers and the broader engineering team
Foster continuous improvement and innovation
Scale successful patterns through evangelism and mentorship

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, delivering, and optimizing solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Demonstrated expertise in scalability, performance, observability, and cost optimization
Proficiency in several of C#/ASP.Net Core, Python, PowerShell, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Open Telemetry, SQL, and ElasticSearch
Expertise across systems design, networking, distributed systems, cloud-scale development and operations, architecture, and performance-optimized algorithms
Proven ability to establish credibility with technical and non-technical audiences and influence teams through change management initiatives
Strong aptitude for learning and teaching others about new technologies
Proven track record of shipping pragmatic solutions while balancing technical vision with delivery
Excellent mentorship and leadership skills
Clear and confident communication, including explaining tradeoffs and documenting patterns
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation
Candidates must reside in Canada
Satisfactory completion of a background check required
Nice to have: domain-driven design and modular architecture; AI systems including LLM architectures, token generation, and MCP frameworks; agentic AI practices and tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Codex
